Life’s Happy Moments Lately

Life has been busy lately, but there’s been a whole lot to be happy about around us lately. I’m calling these.. “Life’s Happy moments Lately!” We are definitely counting our blessings around here, whether small or big there’s a lot to be thankful for lately. I think it’s so easy to take things for granted, specially with two full-time nurses in our house hold. Both my hubby and I work 3, 12 hour shifts a week in the same household, while sometimes being on complete opposite days. It can get exhausting to say the least. But when we do get to enjoy sleeping in the same days off together.. the happy dance comes out! That alone calls for a Happy moment alone! But none-the less, even with the busy schedules we’ve been toughing it out and squeezing a whole lot of Happy Moments in when we can.

Life’s Happy moments lately!

#1 for those who have missed it, has definitely been announcing the arrival of our little Baby Carcache coming April of 2017! If you missed the great news, you can check out a sweet little note to our babe Here (Our Sweet Baby)
Can we say um.. FALL!? Fall is here and even though all you northerners are probably having a more realistic feel of fall up there, down here in florida the weather has at least been a breath of fresh air! The humidity has been pretty low, and the breezes have been oh So So wonderful! For us Floridians its as close to fall weather we probably get!
Pumpkin Patch with the little sister, a yearly tradition plus the yummiest frozen apple cider I ever did taste! Its a plus when your pregnancy makes it a craving too!
The arrival of a cousin we haven’t seen in years! Introducing her to some ‘American’ traditions during the holidays will surely be fun for us and her. Her smile of appreciation is priceless.
This mama and daddy upgrade mamas car for a bigger ride! Rocking the mama car early! So grateful that God has allowed us to be able to make these switches for the changes coming up!
Lastly Family and Friends, and for all the moments of encouragement they give through this stage in our lives. For our families love, patience, guidance and endless support! Those are always happy moments

ENGAGEMENT & WEDDING PARTY FESTIVITIES!

Engagement & Wedding party festivities took place this past saturday night and it could not have gone any better! As many of my frequent readers know, Xavier and I got engaged in October while we were in New York. If you didn’t know here’s how he Proposed! Its worth reading in my opinion lol. ;P Well, since this past October, we have been in “planning mode.” I can tell you that the so-called ‘planning mode’ comes and goes, because it gets overwhelming at times. So we plan a little, take a breather and pick up again! It’s been working thus far for us lol. It’s an exciting time for us even with the moments of stress! Because if you’ve never planned a wedding before… let me tell you, it can be time-consuming.

Part of our wedding plans also included a special little party that we had thought up. Xavier and I, have only but a couple of mutual friends and most of our friends don’t really know each other. So our plans were to host a small “Engagement Party” for the sole purpose of making it an opportunity for our friends to meet. We had to call it an “engagement party’ for the purpose of keeping it a surprise to our Bridesmaids and Groomsmen. What most of our friends didn’t know was that our plan was to throw a little party for our wedding party, to ask our closest friends to be our groomsmen and bridesmaids. We wanted it to be special and intimate because we wanted our gals and guys to get to meet (most for the first time) so that come wedding day, they would know each other. We knew that throughout the year more opportunities would have come where they would have been able to meet, but.. we wanted the first time to be special. So along came our little “Engagement & Wedding Party Festivities!”

Xavier and I’s, closest friends are very special to us and it means a lot to us, for them to be a part of our special day! A lot of preparation went in to making our engagement party a success. Our purpose was to make them feel special and to let them know how much we appreciate them as friends. Along with how much they mean to us as individuals and as a couple. I went to my handy-dandy “Pinterest” and started gathering my ideas for the party. To try to keep it simple for you all, just know that about 90% of our engagement party was all DIY! We really wanted to make it beautiful and timeless at an affordable price, so most of our decor and food we prepared ourselves and with the help of my family! Because lets face it, for the average joe, a budget is of the essence! We couldn’t be more grateful for all of those who helped us on saturday!

Thank You to all our amazing friends that came to share an amazing night with us and for saying YES! to sharing Xavier’s and I’s journey into marriage by being our Bridesmaids and Groomsmen!

Even though we get overwhelmed by all the planning, we are so very excited for the months to come and for our future plans leading up to the BIG DAY and forever! We know that God will guide us through this journey and we will get through it all!

An Engagement in Style

This past saturday, my honey and I had the pleasure of attending a celebration unlike any we had surely attended.. It was full of colors, traditions, meaning, family and most important LOVE! My boyfriend and I met Anita (the beautiful bride to be, below in our pictures) during nursing school.. we were literally the three stooges! This is why it was such an honor and meant so much for us to be able to experience such an amazing day for her and her fiancé! It was a beautiful day and the celebration spirit was definitely in the air. It was not only exciting for us to be able to attend but also to learn about their different traditions and beliefs. If this was only the engagement ceremony, I cannot wait to attend their wedding day! Im sure it will be more than beautiful! Here are some pictures we took of our friends day! Enjoy.
